This is a new project that MEJN is jointly implementing with Eye for Development (EfD) and is supported by Oxfam Novib based, Nairobi office.

The project seeks to raise public awareness and campaign on state of ratification, domestication and implementation of African Union (AU) charters by the government of Malawi.

The thrust of the project is to understand the magnitude of loss by failing to ratify, domesticate and implement some of the AU protocols and charters and profile the role of citizens in participating in process to implement the AU instruments.

This project focuses on addressing tax injustices in Malawi and seeks to promote achievement of a transparent, accountable and equitable taxation system through creating spaces for citizens’ participation in taxation policy formulation, implementation and monitoring tax justice and capacitating civil society organizations to advocate for fair treatment of the poor on taxation.

The project is funded by Action Aid Malawi.
